Defendant in officer assault says he only filmed the incident

SACRAMENTO -- (KTXL) -- Juan Gomez, 20, and Jamaral Lee, 35, appeared in court Wednesday afternoon for the first time. Both men have been charged with assault and battery of a police officer stemming from an incident Monday along Bruceville Road.
However, investigators say the men had different roles in the assault.
Police investigators say Gomez lured a white, male officer out of his vehicle by falsely reporting that there was a man with a gun nearby the 6600 block of Bruceville Road.
