Man charged after accosting Sandy Hook victim’s family at memorial race

STRATFORD — Stratford police have arrested a man accused of accosting the family of a school shooting victim at a charity event.
Police said 32-year-old Matthew Mills of Brooklyn, New York, approached Victoria Soto's family at the Vicki Soto 5K in Stratford on Saturday and claimed that the shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown never happened.
Mills ran from police, but was caught and charged with breach of peace and interfering with police.
