Crime isn't funny -- but sometimes you just have to laugh at how dumb some suspects can be. Here are highlights of some of the most entertaining yet not thoroughly planned-out crimes.

In El Cerrito, California, police are looking for 18-year-old Tasja Dowell. That's because officers say she beat and robbed a high school student for her iPhone. How do they know it was her? Taja took selfies on the phone after the attack, which automatically uploaded to the victim's iCloud account.

In Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey, police say Haley Oates had a few too many drinks and didn't want to get busted for drunken driving. Police say he made bogus call to 911 about an assault nearby to draw them away. This spelling-bee champ probably would have gotten away with it too -- except she bragged about what she did, complete with misspellings, on social media.

In Spartanburg, South Carolina, it's our "Nice Try" of the week. Police say one guy was s belligerently drunk when they found him, that when pressed by cops for his name, his priceless response was "Lee Oswald Trump." But Christopher Kelly was charged on several counts, including resisting arrest.
