JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- (WKMG) -- An elementary school student faces felony charges for grabbing a teacher's wrist.
The 11-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday.
The child's mother told The Florida Times-Union she believes the arrest was in retaliation for some complaints she's lodged against teacher Pamela Riggs Stoia.
Stoia's attorney Stephanie Schaap says says the teacher was treated twice for a sprained wrist and hand after the encounter with the fifth grade boy on November 20.
