Van driver tried to lure child with candy

BRISTOL, Conn. -- (WTIC) -- Police are investigating an incident where a man tried to lure a child into his van earlier this week.

The child ran and was unharmed.

Police said it happened on Tuesday afternoon, when a man pulled alongside of an 8-year-old and offered the child some candy, but the child ran the other way.
