Parents turn in teens suspected in Brooklyn gang rape

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Four teens accused of raping an 18-year-old woman in a Brooklyn park are in custody and a fifth is still on the run, police said late Sunday.
Sources said two 15-year-olds were brought to the police precinct by their parents who spotted them on surveillance video. The two other boys in custody, ages 14 and 17, were later apprehended by police.
Police and an appalled community have been searching for the group for days after an 18-year-old was raped in a Brownsville playground.
The victim was walking with her father in Osborn Playground near Hegeman Avenue about 9:20 p.m. Thursday, when they were approached by five males, one of which pulled out a handgun, police said.
