HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- (WPIX) -- The Hempstead man charged in the fatal shooting of a 12-year-old girl may have fired the gun over a stolen hoverboard.
Jakwan Keller, 20, is accused of firing a gun that pierced through a home, striking 12-year-old Dejah Joyner in the head.
Joyner was eating dinner in her home Oct. 16, 2015 when a stray bullet pierced through the living room window and struck her. She was rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.
