NEW YORK CITY -- (WPIX) -- Surveillance video and a sketch was released Monday of a subway slasher who cut a 71-year-old woman in the face during the Monday morning rush hour.

The New York Police Department said the attacker was on board a northbound D train approaching the Broadway-Lafayette subway station at about 6:50 a.m

When the doors opened, he slashed the 71-year-old in her left cheek then ran away, police said.
