PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. -- (WKMG) -- A Virginia father has been charged after he posted a video on Facebook of himself boxing his 17-year-old son.
The father said his son had been misbehaving in school. In the video, the man says that his son walked out of his teacher's class and didn't call or tell him about what happened. He didn't come home.
"All day went by, he didn't call. So now it's discipline time because he didn't do what I told him to do. He chooses to do what he wants to do," he said.
He said this is to teach his son a lesson.
"Discipline for not following my directions. Secondly, teaching him how to defend himself," he said.
The father turns the camera around and puts boxing gloves on his son.
You can hear the father talking through the punches and telling his son how to defend himself.
After a few minutes, they stop.
The father, who has been identified as Tavis Sellers, turned himself in and faces domestic assault and battery charges. His son has been removed from the home, reports say.
