Operation Broken Heart: 46 arrested in Md. sting targeting sexual predators of children

COLUMBIA, Md. -- (WBFF) -- Maryland State Police say that its "Operation Broken Heart III," a two-month-long effort targeting child sexual exploitation predators, resulted in 46 arrests in the state.
Maryland's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force joined a national effort of 60 other task forces working through April and May to investigate and arrest sexual predators of children and provide Internet safety education.
The operation kicked off 198 investigations, with 86 search warrants executed resulting in 46 arrests in Maryland. There were also three public outreach sessions, which reached over 700 people.
