The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying a home invasion suspect.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Mich. -- (WXYZ) -- Smile, you're on camera.

A home invasion suspect looked completely caught off guard when he realized he was being captured on a home webcam.

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to identify the man who they say broke into a home in the 3000 block of Carrigan Road in Fort Gratiot Township on Monday.

The sheriff's office reports the homeowner left for work around 6 a.m. and discovered someone had been in his home later that evening.

He checked the surveillance camera in his living room and handed it over to authorities when he saw the suspect.
