MARION COUNTY, Fla. -- (WBBH) -- A man was arrested in Marion County on Wednesday after deputies spotted him walking naked along the highway.
18-year-old Andrew Humphries was stopped by an officer along South U.S. Highway 441.
When asked why he wasn't wearing any clothes, Humphries could not give an answer. He then tried to open the front door to the police officer's car.
Humphries was promptly put in handcuffs and placed in the back seat of the car. While sitting there Humphries began to aggressively kick the door, causing $1,000 in damage according to authorities.
It was later discovered that Humphries was involved in a car accident just moments before on the same road. Witnesses told Florida Highway Patrol that Humphries left the scene of the crash and tried to open the door of a Marion County Sheriff's Office car, and ended up ripping off the handle of the door. They said he then urinated on the car. Authorities say the damage done to the car costs around $700.
Humphries was charged with one count of felony criminal mischief for property damage of $1,000 or more and one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief.
