TITUSVILLE, Fla. -- (WKMG) -- A 33-year-old Titusville man who police said stabbed a woman he knew and beat her three children, including one who was struck with an iron, was arrested Saturday.
News 6 partner Florida Today reported that Hector Miguel Matos-Medina faces two counts of attempted murder, aggravated child abuse, battery by strangulation and child abuse.
Titusville police said they were called about 10 a.m. to a home in the 1300 block of Wilderness Lane. Police said one of the children managed to call 911 to report that Matos-Medina was beating their mother.
Investigators said Matos-Medina choked and stabbed the unidentified woman and then battered her children, at one point picking up a clothing iron and beating one of the children before leaving, police said.
