MILWAUKEE -- (WITI) -- They got married on New Year's Eve, and the next day, their valet pulled their vehicle around so they could load up all of the gifts they received from loved ones in celebration of their love. That's when a thief swiped the car -- with something even more precious than those thoughtful and personal gifts inside.
Cheryl Parmenter and William Pulec said they actually requested no gifts for their wedding, but they did ask for something sentimental, and that's part of the reason why what happened the next day hurts so much.
"For something like this to happen, it's..." Parmenter said.
It was the morning after their wedding when Pulec called the valet to bring the car around outside the Brewhouse Inn near 10th and Juneau in Milwaukee.
"Cheryl handed me the keys so I could put the last set of bags in," Pulec said.
