Pornstar's husband files $5 million lawsuit against officials over releasing suicide info

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. -- (KABB) -- Authorities who handled the death investigation of a porn star are being sued by her husband after the medical examiner released details of her suicide to media outlets.
According to The Blast, August Ames' husband called the information released "salacious" and "personal."
Ames died in December 2017; many believed she turned to suicide due to online bullying after she publicly refused to work with a male actor who also worked in gay porn.
Kevin Moriarty, acting also on behalf of her estate, is seeking $5 million from the Ventura County Board of Supervisors because of details given to the press which included the location of her death and the contents of a suicide note.
