BALTIMORE -- (WBFF) -- Baltimore County Police have announced the arrest of a man they say shot and killed his pregnant wife.
Police have charged Eric Maurice Glass, 30, for the shooting of his pregnant wife. Just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the 2500-block of Wentworth Road for a disturbance. After the initial response and investigation, detectives were able to determine that Glass allegedly shot his 30-year-old wife, Jasmine Alisha Kennedy. After shooting his wife, police say Glass shot himself in the head. The suspect then allegedly punched the victim's 14-year-old son.
The children inside the house where able to leave the house and go to a neighbor's home for help. The suspect then allegedly came to the neighbor's house, forced his way inside and assaulted the occupants inside, according to Baltimore County Police. Once outside again, the suspect was detained by another neighbor until police arrived and took Glass into custody.
Kennedy was rushed to an area hospital, where doctors were able to remove the child. Kennedy was in critical condition and placed on life support. On Wednesday at 5:38 p.m., she was removed from life support and pronounced dead.
The newborn child was last listed in critical but stable condition.
Glass has been charged with first-degree assault, attempted first-degree murder, second-degree child abuse, third-degree burglary and second-degree assault. He is currently being held without bail.
